Michael Monahan & Robbie House began working together as a duo after having played around Tidewater in some of the most popular bands ever known to the area. Robbie had tremendous success with the nationally known band “Snuff”, while Michael was best known for his work in the group Paris. Both were a part of the group Street Talk, and more recently Michael was a member of the Baddadz and together they formed the highly successful band “The Gypseas.“
As a duo they have performed at many local venues, including Froggie’s Cantina, Jerry’s Pub, Mario’s Italian Restaurant, The Tradewinds, 757 Crave on the Harbor, and on all four of the Virginia Beach ocean front stages. They regularly perform for special private events at the Norfolk Yacht Club and the Princess Anne Country Club. They have opened for Jonathan Edwards of “Sunshine Go Away Today” fame as a part of the Tidewater Friends of Acoustic Music performance series. Michael and Robbie perform a set of music that is made up of folk, classic rock and blues standards as well as newer Americana music.
