Shane Cooley is a singer-songwriter with a sound and style all his own. His passion for music comes across on stage as an energetic, fun and enchanting performer. His original songs hit a note with listeners of all ages with catchy tunes and meaningful lyrics. Shane has written over 200 songs, since the age of 13, that tell stories about how he has experienced life and how everyday adventures have affected this small town boy. Each day shapes his music.
"Shane Cooley has a positive outlook and drive that will take him where he wants to go," said songwriter/producer Steve Bassett. That pretty much sums up Shane's quest to make a difference with his music since he was 13 years old, hundreds of songs ago. Shane's dedication has produced 6 self recorded and 5 studio albums that have caught the attention of radio, TV, internet, press and a growing fan base, making him a compelling and distinctive artist.
On his rise, Shane improves his craft with every song. He has learned how to succeed while still exhibiting enthusiasm, class and integrity, learning how to get along with all types in all sorts of environments, presenting himself in a confident but not cocky way.
Shane Cooley is a unique, emerging artist that is hard to pigeon hole, with comparisons to Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, Ryan Adams, Neil Young, and James Taylor. He has shared the stage with headliners such as Bruce Hornsby, Carbon Leaf, Tim McGraw, Joan Jett, The Blue Man Group, OK Go, Los Lonely Boys and Sugar Ray. Shane is a 2010 graduate of the College of William & Mary and tours extensively while his dedication accelerates him along the road to success.
