Justin D Clements, aka Your Friendly Neighborhood Rockstar, is a Boston native who has grown up in Virginia Beach. He has been harnessing his musical skills since he was in kindergarten. An avid guitarist and pianist, Justin earned his BA in vocal performance from Bridgewater College. In college he was well known on the music scene in the Shenandoah Valley. Since graduation, Justin has become a regular at numerous local coffee shops and a favorite at open mic nights. He has also opened for several national acts at the NorVA in Norfolk, VA. He has even been known to do the occasional wedding.
As a singer/songwriter, Justin’s music comes from the heart, not from a particular genre. However, if forced to label himself, "folk rock with flair" would be the best description. Taking his love for storytelling and fusing it with acoustic/folk rock. He has most recently released a record titled Hope Among the Shadows, his tenth overall release. The record encompasses old and new songs that Justin felt best told the story of his career so far. He produced the record entirely on his own as well, so that the final product would be a true reflection of who he is as an artist. He is very proud of the work he has accomplished and is excited to share his story with everyone who is willing to listen. He knows that this is only just the beginning. Justin loves to take people along on his musical journey. Are you ready you join him?
Opening: Dustin Furlow
Dustin Furlow is a 20 years old singer/songwriter born and raised in San Diego, CA. His songwriting upbringing began in high school after a skateboarding accident at the age of 17. During his recovery he soon came to realize he needed an alternative and not so risky hobby. After purchasing an acoustic guitar he was exposed to artists such as Bob Dylan, Matt Costa, John Mayer and Dave Matthews. Around the same time he fell in love with introspective lyrical delivery that dealt with love, uncertainty, and enjoying life's simple pleasures. His goal is to be on the road with a band in support of a full-length album with or without a record label within the next year.
