SINGER-SONGWRITER-STORYTELLING-BLUESMAN..... Roy Book Binder has been rambling around the world for the past 45 years! He gave up his Greenwich Village "pad" in the early 1970's and lived in his "Tour Bus" for the next 15 years criss crossing the US and appearing at festivals throughout Canada & Europe.

Book Binder, travelled with the legendary Rev. Gary Davis in the late 60's..... The Book, recorded his first solo acoustic Blues album in the 70's, which was the first to receive 5 stars in DOWNBEAT magazine! In the late 80's "The Book" was part of Bonnie Raitt's East Coast Tour, which included an appearance on The Grand Old Opry which led to almost 30 appearances on NASHVILLE NOW's, Ralph Emory Show! In the 90's he often appeared with JORMA KAUKONEN (who recorded 2 of Roy's songs)

Last Aug. 19th, THE GOOD BOOK, Roy's latest release of all original songs, reached #3 on AirPlayDirect's Americana charts! #1 was Guy Clark & #2 was the late Townes Van Zandt. Folkdj.org had Roy in the top 3 artists for July.

Opening: Zack Salsberry

Zack Salsberry is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Newport News, VA who began playing at age 5 and performing on stage at age 9. He performs solo, fronts the Zack Salsberry Trio and plays lead guitar for the Doc Robin Band. Zack was a finalist in the 2017 Tidewater Arts Outreach Emerging Artist Contest and was featured in the 2014 edition of Guitar Player Magazine. He received a 2014 Veer Music Award (Best Teen Band, The UnXpected) and is a proud member of the Brotherhood of the Guitar. He has two EPs to his credit and will be releasing his first solo EP in 2017. Zack has played hundreds of shows at venues both small and large throughout Hampton Roads, highlighted by appearances at the 22nd Annual Blues at the Beach Festival, the Williamsburg Winter Blues Jazz Festival, the Virginia Beach Neptune Festival, the 2016 Acoustic Music Gathering, Stockley Gardens Art Festival and two appearances at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN. He has made live radio appearances on Blues Traffic Jam (WFOS), Hunter at Sunrise (WHRV) and Acoustic Highway with Barry Graham (WHRV).

Zack's shows are a reflection of his eclectic musical taste. His performances commonly include classic tunes by the Beatles, Holwin' Wolf, Hendrix and SRV along with more recent material by artists such as Mac DeMarco, Gorillaz and of course Zack's own original music. Regardless of the genre, Zack has developed a reputation as an "old soul" with inspired performances and high energy guitar work.

You can follow Zack at @ZackSalsberryMusic on Facebook and Instagram and at @ZSalsberryMusic on Twitter. Better yet, try to catch a show and see what all the fuss is about.
